The first Auburn football roster of the Hugh Freeze era is almost complete. With an unofficial count of 82 scholarships after adding key transfers like Payton Thorne, Jyairr Shorter, Jaden Muskrat, and many other Auburn Tigers via the transfer portal, the roster appears to be in a better spot now than it was several months ago when Hugh Freeze was offered the job.
Hugh Freeze's efforts on the recruiting trail are seen and will be put to the test this fall when the 2023 college football season begins. There are still flaws with the roster like a pass rush and depth at a handful of positions.
