Mike Trout's Return Spoiled, Same Old Los Angeles Angels, What Reid Detmers MUST Do In His Next Start

The Los Angeles Angels and the Cincinnati Reds played game 1 of this 3-game set over two days, and game 1 saw the return of Mike Trout and a strong start from Lucas Giolito. Unfortunately, both were spoiled by some fielding issues; an all-or-nothing dive from Hunter Renfroe and an error on Nolan Schanuel at 1st allowed the Reds to come back to put the Halos down 4-3. Elly De La Cruz ran circles around the bases and Reds starter had a career-high 10 strikeouts against the Angels, and homers from Mike Moustakas, Brandon Drury, and Logan O'Hoppe weren't enough to overcome the deficit.
