May 3, 2020 Officer Mike Mosher of the Overland Park Kansas Police Department was killed in a shootout with a suspect. That evening, his wife Corinne saw a blue light a neighbor has displayed in their window to honor Mike's ultimate sacrifice. Corinne mobilized the entire community and several nights later a "Blue Light Vigil" showered the entire city in blue lights in honor of their fallen hero.

Officer Mosher's funeral occurred just as National Police Week was getting underway. Corinne was deeply moved by the gesture and seeks to honor all of our fallen police officers and their families by taking the tradition nationwide, calling on all Americans to display a blue light in their homes and at work every year for the seven days of National Police Week.
