Your Best Life Plan Should Include Planning Against Jobs That Will Die in the Next 10 Years!

Greetings everyone

I want to start by reminding you that I’ve have just launched a new Podcasting course, which is aimed at absolute beginners who want to start a podcast either for business or pleasure. So by the time this episode airs we are expected to be partially out of lockdown, but only so we can engage in the only pastime they want us to have which is shopping, to buy their stuff.  If you’re sitting on furlough money that’s burning a hole in your pockets and purses, let’s try and bounce that Black pound in as many Black businesses as we can.  Our future will thank us for this!

This week I’m continuing my mini-series on why it’s important to programme our futures. In the first episode we looked at programming our day. In the second episode we looked at programming our dreams… and in this episode I’m looking at why the work of programming will become important, when we look at the traditional jobs that have been open to Black workers, that will disappear in the next 10 years.  And what this means… is that without planning for how we are going to meet these changes in the jobs market, our people will yet again be left behind.   

Against this backdrop, I talk about why it’s important to set up side hustles and encouraging our children to do the same – and in next week’s episode, I talk about the new jobs that are coming online, and I why some of the side hustle skills we learn now, will help us to better be able to compete in this new jobs market place.
