An award-winning author and Professor of English and American Studies Emerita at Vanderbilt University, her nonfiction and fiction books have focused on the decades of America's industrial titans, the "Queens" of Society and the U.S. Gilded Age. She enjoys membership and posting in Facebook’s The Gilded Age Society.
