Carissa Turpin is the author of the novel, Doomsday Dani. Carissa grew up in a small Eastern Kentucky town where she fell in love with storytelling in all its forms.


She began teaching high school English in 2008 near her hometown, where she remained for ten years, before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona where she made the switch to teaching middle school.


In 2021, Carissa left Arizona and returned to Kentucky to continue teaching middle schoolers. She lives in Louisville with her miniature schnauzer puppy named after Leonardo DiCaprio and one too many books.
