Sebene Selassie is a meditation teacher, author and speaker whose work focuses on belonging and identity. You can find her teaching meditation on the popular Ten Percent Happier meditation app, alongside previous guest Joseph Goldstein. Born in Ethiopia and raised in the US, Sebene began studying Buddhism 30 years ago as an undergraduate at McGill University where she majored in Comparative Religious Studies. She went on to receive an MA from the New School in New York in race and cultural studies. Her new book is called "You Belong: A Call for Connection". Today we talk about belonging on all levels from the metaphysical to the social.
