In this episode, Maryon shares some stories of how women in the perimenopausal stage of life often feel that life had passed them by. For some, they experience breakdowns, retreating into themselves, and instead of giving a presentation in the workplace, find themselves curled in a ball under the desk. Many face broken situations with women even leaving the work place.

Many women don’t even realize this is happening in the beginning since it happens gradually. But many find themselves experiencing Brain fog, anxiety, night sweats, mood swings, weight gain, etc.

While in perimenopause we’re predisposed to different diseases we can still stay in good nutritional states, and use Mother Nature’s natural estrogen to be able stay on top of many of the symptoms we may be facing.

Interestingly enough, research shows billions of women have nutritional deficiencies which affects the brain chemistry (which becomes worse as you age (plus your retiring ovaries through perimenopause). As a result, it’s even more important that going through menopause, we are taking care of ourselves. Even when we’re post-menopausal, and tend breathe a sigh of relief, thinking it’s all behind us, we still need to remember we’re still vulnerable after menopause with things like nutritional deficiencies, osteoporosis, heart disease, etc.

Although it sounds hopeless, that is absolutely not the case. Research now shows that by topping up on nutrients and staying in good shape after menopause, you can prevent so many of the diseases that are common in this phase of life - and not just eradicate symptoms. We can actually go through a transformation and feel better in our midlife years than before. It can be an encouraging and exciting time of life.
