At the end of chapter 6 the Preacher of Ecclesiastes asked us a question: "Who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow?" (Ecc 6:12) Now, in chapter 7, the Preacher begins to answer that question by telling us what he has found as the "better" way to live.
