When I heard Neil Young was releasing a new album late last year, his fifth in three years, I had a feeling it would be one from the archives and not new material and I was right. Nothing wrong with that - Chrome Dreams was released earlier in 2023 and despite being sitting in his archives for decades that album was amazing but this latest effort is a different approach, from many different eras, and with vastly different songs that can come across as both parts intriguing and as lifeless as the albums cover art. Tune in to hear my thoughts on this record.
