In a resignation letter, you’ll need to specify how much notice you are giving and when your last day of work will be. You should also inquire about the status of employee benefits you may be entitled to upon termination of employment. Two weeks’ notice minimum is recommended.

Example Resignation Letter

Dear Managers name,

Please accept this message as my formal resignation from Company ABC. My final day will be ________, two weeks from today. I am so grateful for the last 5 years at the company.

Please let me know how I can be of assistance during this transition.

In the future, you can reach me at my personal email ([email protected]) or on my cell phone (555-555-5555).

Thank you again, and I look forward to staying in touch.
