S2E43 - New to Us Authors November - How to Be a Pirate (aka a bad ass person)

Wendy and Toni are back and this month they’re reading books of author’s that are new to them.  They start with author Nicola Italia’s “Sea of Revenge” and we get more insight with an interview with the author!  We learn that the author loves to create a strong female lead and we got that.  Tamzen lost her brother when the naval ship he was on was attacked by the worse type of pirates.  Not wanting to see her grandchild waste away, her grandmother allows her to learn how to fight with the help from a loyal household servant.  What her family may see as curiosity and activities to ease her grief, Tamzen learns the tricks of the piracy trade for her future plans.  When she comes of age, instead of taking a grand tour of the continent, she takes a grand tour of the ocean and seas to avenge her brother.  Her plight is not what it seems and we’re taken on many adventures, including coming across a privateer ship and its commander, and saving her own life.  Join the ladies as they discuss how to be a pirate aka a bad ass person!
