Raised by a chronically ill dad, who could not walk, and by an alcoholic mom, Patti Garibay, wanted something better for girls. She "wanted a childhood or a girlhood that could be enjoyed." Unintentionally she founded the now national American Heritage Girls scouting organization with God centered focus.
