Janette Beckman is a British-born photographer who has made a career following her musical tastes and cultural preferences. From her punk days in London shooting the likes of Pete Townsend, The Police, Sex Pistols, The Clash and Boy George to New York City in the 80s capturing a teenage LL Cool J or Salt-N-Pepa decked out by Dapper Dan. Today she shoots campaigns for Dior and Levis and documents demonstrations for social justice.
