Overflow With Hope - 'The Best Is Yet to Come'

Hope is linked to waiting on God

(Psalm 39:7 NIV)
But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.

Hope leads to faith

(Hebrews 11:1 NIV)
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Some things will happen after our lives

(Hebrews 11:39-40 NIV)
These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Bartimaues (son of honor)

(Mark 10:46-52 NIV)
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.


希望に満ち溢れる - 'ベストはまだまだこれから'

希望は神様を待ち望むことに繋がっている

(詩篇 39:7 JCB)
神よ。私はあなたにだけ望みをかけているのです。

希望は信仰に繋がる

(ヘブル 11:1 ALIVE訳)
信仰とは、願い事が必ずかなえられるという、不動の確信のことだ。また、どうやって起こるかわからない行く手にも、望みどおりのことが必ず待ち受けていると信じて、疑わないことである。

私たちの人生の後に起こることもある

(ヘブル 11:39-40 ALIVE訳)
彼らの信仰のゆえに、神は彼らを認めていた。しかし、誰1人として、神の約束の財宝は、まだ受け 取っていない。(40) 彼らが待ち望 んでいた報いは、最高峰の財宝で あり、神も、やがては、それを与えるつもりだった。それは、神が 今、私たちのために差し出しているイエスという名の財宝だ。

バルテマイ(敬意のある息子)

一行はエリコに着きました。やがてその町を出ようとすると、大ぜ いの群衆がついて来ます。その 時、テマイの子でバルテマイという名の盲目の物ごいが、道ばたに座っていました。(47)ナザレのイエスのお通りだと聞いて、バルテ マイは大声を張り上げました。 「イエス様、ダビデ王の子よ!ど うぞお助けを!」(48)「うるさい。黙れ!」と、だれかがどなりました。それでも、バルテマイは ますます声を張り上げ、「ああ、 ダビデ王の子よ。お助けくださ い」と、くり返し叫びました。 (49)その声を聞きつけて、イエス は立ち止まり、「あの男を連れて 来なさい」と言われました。そこで、人々はその盲人に、「運のい いやつだ。おい、イエス様がお呼 びだぞ」と告げました。(50)バル テマイは、はおっていた上着をぱっと脱ぎ捨てると、喜び勇んでイエスのそばに飛んで来ました。 (51)「わたしに、どうしてほしいのですか」と、イエスがお尋ねになると、彼はもどかしげに、「先 生。見えるように、見えるようになりたいんです」と答えました。 (52)「わかりました。さあ、もう あなたの目は治りました。あなたの信仰があなたを治したのです。」イエスがこう言われた瞬間、彼の目は見えるようになり、 イエスについて行きました。
