In this episode, Jimmy and Patty have a discussion about reconsidering what Jesus means when he talks about Hell. While the Bible does not talk a lot about Hell, most forms of Christianity seem to revolve around how to escape Hell and get to Heaven. In fact, most traditions have traded away the authentic gospel for what they see as a chance to escape eternal punishment in Hell.
Especially in our tradition most of the emphasis of sharing the good news with people revolves around warning them about the perceived reality of Hell and how to escape going to Hell. In this conversation, we seek to redefine Hell in light of what Jesus and the Bible actually seem to be saying.
