Life Stories with David Wright

David Wright came to Spain with his first wife in search of his dream. Sadly, the new way of life in Spain didn’t work for David’s wife and she returned to the UK leaving David on his own, with a business that got hit by the financial crisis and a house that had to be sold at a greatly reduced price. 

However, rather than giving up, David built up his carpentry business, took up dancing classes, tackled Spanish and met his future wife. 

Based on his own experiences of living in Spain, David runs a couple of Facebook advice groups and has written two books about living and working in Spain. Although officially ‘retired’ David is now building his own home in Almeria with his Spanish wife.
