Paul Rogers, award winning environmental journalist, will join us and share stories about his experiences as an environmental journalist and science writer. Paul writes about energy, water policy, environmental justice, parks and other environmental issues. He was a member of the Mercury News Pulitzer Prize winning team that covered the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1990. His most recent article is about the Great American Outdoors Act. The act would provide nearly a billion dollars for outdoor recreation, land acquisition and most importantly to address the multi-billion dollar maintenance backlog on federal lands. Environmental Journalist, Paul Rogers is one of the few journalist fighting for environmental justice. He writes for the San Jose Mercury News. San Jose is the largest city in the bay area of California.
