Manuel Puro's career as a casting director started with a dozen hand written letters accompanied by a KitKat and a note saying  ‘Since I’ve supplied the KitKat, you could give me a break’. One of the people that replied was casting director Jeremy Zimmermann (of 'Robin Hood Prince of Thieves' & 'Willow' fame). He assisted Jeremy on many projects including Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Hell Boy II’ and soon found his feet as a casting director in his own right.
His credits include multiple collaborations with Duncan Jone on ‘Mute’ starring Alexander Skarsgård & Paul Rudd and the Wonderful ‘Moon’ starring Sam Rockwell. From ‘Born to be Blue’ starring Ethan Hawke to the ‘Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon' Manny  has never shied away from making bold and exciting choices. I have him to thank him for casting me in several movies, my first villain as Iago in a modern day Adaptation of Othello and most notably my first lead in a feature film in BAFTA Nominated ‘Northern Soul'. For this I will always be hugely grateful, thank you
