You Don't Need To Speak In Tongues: Real Fake News Final Pt.

The people of the OT experienced the presence of God through a priest, the Ark of the Covenant and animal sacrifices.

When Jesus Christ arrived, He came with a promise... A promise that HIS Spirit would no longer just be WITH us but IN us. 

John 3:1-8 - The key point in this whole story is that Jesus called Nicodemus and us to be born again.

Acts 1:4-8 - This Holy Spirit baptism would come with power and that power would give them the ability to share the story of God.

This actually takes place in Acts 2, 8, 10, 19.

 Every time people were filled with the Spirit there was a dramatic life change

 Ephesians 5:17-18 - The tense of the Greek term “be filled” makes it clear that such a “Spirit-filled” condition does not stop with a single experience, but is maintained by continually being filled as commanded here.

 We are called to BE filled and STAY filled with the Spirit.

You must learn to pray in the Spirit, in other tongues, in a “prayer language.”

2. The Holy Spirit helps us pray.

3. The Holy Spirit gives us power.

4. The Holy Spirit will teach us, guide us, and show us things to come.

5. The Holy Spirit gives us power over the enemy.

•                Galatians 5:16
