God is a hospitable God!
Israelites, by nature, were a people of hospitality.
In Genesis 18:
• Abraham RAN to greet those that were not his people.
• Abraham was a man of wealth, but choose to SERVE his guests.
• Abraham was GENEROUS with hospitality and treated them as kings.
God instituted 7 feasts that the Jewish people celebrated throughout the year.
The Gospel of Luke is full of stories about Jesus eating with people.
Hospitality was a key component to the success of the greatest movement that has ever happened in the history of mankind.
Romans 12:9-21- “given to hospitality” (v.13)
1 Peter 4:9- hospitality without grumbling
John 13:2-5 – Jesus leads with hospitality
