Identity Crisis / Sunday Bonus... Kinda...

Life is a forward motion of identity transitions.

It is God’s plan that you identify with Christ to the point of realizing you are a King and Priest.

The purpose of identifying with Christ is to carry out the Kingdom agenda.  

1 Peter 2:1-11

Peter is confronting identity crisis, clarifying what the people should and should not be identifying with.

In 1888 the New England Glass Company found deposits of high quality sand in the Toledo region and chose to move here. Edward Drummond Libby then changed the business name to Libby Glass and Toledo took on the identity of the Glass City.

When you allow God to bring order to your world and move under his authority, that’s when you start to walk in your true identity. 

When you walk in your true identity, you take on His authority as a King and Priest.

We are Kings and Priests, but we must understand the difference. 

·      Kings decree. 

·      Priests intercede.
