The most influential man in history only wanted to be a dad.

Gen. 17:5

Children with absent fathers have 4x the risk of living in poverty.

They are 7x as likely to become pregnant as a teen.

They are 2x as likely to be obese.

They are 279% more likely to carry guns and deal drugs.

They are much more likely to go to prison, to abuse drugs and alcohol, and to drop out of school.

There are two ways to view fatherlessness and its effect on society:

1: The Nuclear family is merely a cultural norm, the negative effects of a fatherless home are due to social stigma placed on children because of their lack of a nuclear family.

2: The Nuclear family is a creation by God as an ideal, the negative effects of fatherlessness are due to the unfulfilled role that children need to develop as God has intended.

We believe in number 2.

How did Abraham become the most influential man in history?

1: He obeyed when God called him out.

Genesis 12:1-4

2: He had faith that God was who He said He was.

Genesis 15:5-6

3: He trusted God with everything.

Genesis 22:1-3
