This is our special holiday edition of the Life After Sugar podcast!

This week I'm talking to Holly Howe, a Fermentation Educator, a cookbook author, photographer, and blogger. Holly's goal  is to have sauerkraut fermenting in 100,000 homes... including yours!

If you're anything like I was a few years ago, you may not know much about  fermented foods. Maybe you know that yogurt is fermented? Or maybe you've tasted kombucha? That's fermented too. Or sauerkraut? These are all fermented (or cultured) foods and drinks, and are therefore probiotic and good for your gut health.

In this episode, Holly shares her story and gives her recipe for fermented cranberry relish and carrot sticks. Plus I give my recipe for a happy sugar free  holiday season!

And in future episodes, Holly and I will continue to demystify the world of fermentation.

Why is gut health so important? And what does sugar have to do with gut health? Listen to find out!
