The tragic death of Grace Schara is a heartbreaking story that has left many people shocked and saddened. Grace was a 19-year-old woman with Down syndrome who was given a dangerously high dose of a sedative called Presodex at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin. The doctor who prescribed the medication, Gavin Shokar, did not consult with Grace's family before submitting a do not resuscitate order into the system just eight minutes after administering the drug.
