Approximately 1.1 million runners complete a marathon each year, which is roughly 0.01 percent of the world's population, according to the International Institute for Race Medicine (IIRM). Eric Spitz firmly finds himself amongst this population. He’s a former collegiate cross country and track athlete with a love for marathon running and traveling. He’s  spent the past 7+ years combining those two passions with the goal of running a marathon in all 50 states. Eric is a member of the 50 States Marathon Club with 15 states knocked off my list, and I don't plan on slowing down until I hit 50.

“I've been writing about my experience of running in each state on my blog, Juxtaposed Journeys. Juxtaposed Journeys is also a podcast, where I interview other individuals who are following their passions in life.

I have a love for deep and meaningful conversations about the things that make life worth living. He joined me this week to tell me more.
