Dani DeWald, Voltron Superfan and panel videographer at SDCC, joins Marc and Greg to review her coverage of the Voltron Legendary Defender panel at San Diego Comic-Con. We walk through the entire panel, and give commentary on all the clips, Q & A, and review the Season 1 Soundtrack that was recently released on iTunes. Plus, you need to listen closely to find out how to win variant cover copies of Voltron Legendary Defender #1 Comic, signed by authors Tim Hedrick and Mitch Iverson.

The DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) included panelists Joaquim Dos Santos (Executive Producer), Lauren Montgomery (C0-Executive Producer), and Tim Hedrick (Head Writer). A surprise panelist was added, which makes the audience go crazy! Steven Yeun, who plays Keith, Voltron paladin and pilot of Red Lion, was on the panel and shared his perspective of Season 1 of Voltron Legendary Defender.

During the panel review, one of the Q & A questions was if we'd ever hear the original Voltron theme from 1984 used in the new show. Legally, they can't use the original theme in this show, and the producers let the audience know that you will not be hearing the original theme music in this show. So, now that this question is definitively laid to rest, let's celebrate the music of the first season of Voltron Legendary Defender, which is now available as a digital download on iTunes at:

Thank you to the creator of the Voltron Legendary Defender theme, Alex Geringas, and the show's musical composers, Brad Breeck and Brian Parkhurst, for this wonderful album of music compiled from the first season of our favorite show on Netflix.

Neil Kaplan (Emperor Zarkon in Voltron Legendary Defender) met up with us on the street at SDCC and told us the stories about some of the fans he interacted in line outside of the Voltron panel room 7 AB, and the fact that he and hundreds of fans did not get into the panel! Here's a picture Marc had with Neil:

And here's a picture of the Space Mice stickers that people who asked questions at the panel were given as a thank you for their questions:

And of course, the biggest piece of news on the planet is that we will be seeing Season 2 of Voltron Legendary Defender by Late 2016 on Netflix, according to the panelists at SDCC, and we can't wait! Thanks to the Voltron Fans that have watched this show (some people like Dani have seen the full 1st season 23 times!) and have made it so popular! Thanks to you, we are getting more seasons of this wonderful animated series.
