Today my friend and business partner, Ismail Attitalla, joins The Kondrat Podcast. Born in Sudan and raised in Saudia Arabia until the age of 7, he has lived a fascinating life. Ismail is an Edmonton-based entrepreneur who lives by the mantra “Is This Fun?” - knowing that discipline and focus are much easier when you love what you do.
On the podcast, we discuss Ismail’s love for entrepreneurship, which started with an app he developed at the age of 24 called 780VIP. He is currently building several companies, including Stashii and Alberta Tourism Group. Ismail and my company, Alberta Beer Festivals, recently joined forces to create Hoppy Pass which is a platform that encourages people to visit local craft breweries, distilleries and cideries - set to officially launch in March of 2021. Ismail loves working with people and helping them solve problems. As he puts it, “Solving consumer problems through technology is really motivating. For me - it’s like a jigsaw puzzle”!
Away from work, Ismail is passionate about travelling - something he plans to do a lot of in the post-COVID world! He is also a devoted son who is proud to have delivered on his promise of not becoming a failure after dropping out of school to follow his passion.
