This week the podcast is on location with Brad Field, President of BRC Group and mayoral candidate for Calgary’s 2021 general election.

In response to the question “When did you transition from entreprenuer to successful business man?” Brad Field says that entrepreneurism is part of his DNA, and recounts his journey starting his first incorporated business at 12 years old, and up to his time with BRC Group.

Originally known as just “Big Rig Collision”, Brad joined a family business at a time when they employed just 8 people. Since then they’ve grown to many employees in two different facilities, including a location in the United States. Throughout this growth one thing has remained consistant: a commitment to taking great care of the employees who make everything go around.

Brad is also a proud philanthropist, from his work helping Rotary build homes in Mexico, to a charity golf tournment that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for charities and programs helping children in Calgary, to his work helping young adults struggling with addiction.

His vast experience in the business and charitible worlds has given Brad a unique approach to leadership, which is something he currently sees a deficiency of at Calgary’s City Hall. If elected, Brad hopes to help reinvigorate the entrepreneurial spirit that Calgary is known for, to find new and innovative ways to manage the City’s revenue streams to best deliver services to the citizens of Calgary, and most of all to rekindle collaboration and cooperation across political lines.
