Today I zoom with New Jersey's own,  Comedian Mike Makliewicz, we talk about trash TV, Jersey, poor tippers, slum lords and basement laundry room toilets. I met Mike when I was coming up in the Grand Rapids scene, then he left us all with a broken heart for bigger and better things.

Today you can find him hanging out with Bruce Springsteen in Asbury Park, maybe at the Stone Pony. Mike is a great comedian who provided invaluable advice to me when I was starting out and I hold him as a dear friend to this day. The Grand Rapids scene lost a genuine treasure when he moved back to Jersey.  If you’re in Jersey you can see Mike at various outdoor open mics in parks or under bridges, or at Vinnie Brand’s Stress Factory.
