The other day the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center had announced that they were being forced to end STI & HIV testing due to funds being cut. Thankfully, due to public pressure, the funding has been restored until March. But with STD and infections continuing to rise, this brings up a bigger conversation around the importance of support around this public health issue. Dr. Ward Carpenter co-director of Health Services department at The Los Angeles LGBTQ Center joins Let's Go There to discuss what the future holds and what the community can do to make sure this doesn't happen in other cities nationwide.
