In an overly simplistic way, I tend to divide the arena of fine art photography into two camps. For some photographers, the destination/location is the thing they pursue to make the best photographs. For others (myself included), the pursuit of ideas/response/connection is the thing that drives our efforts. It can be useful to consider this train of thought not only for our own photography, but in helping to understand the motivations and work of other photographers
