My guest on today's episode is Adriana Alejandre of Latinx Therapy Podcast
Adriana is a EMDR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles. She is the founded of Latinx Therapy, the podcast about mental wellbeing and destigmatization in the Latinx community. This project was created after she noticed a need for more education for the Latinx Spanish speaking community, especially in audio-form. She created a Google Map of therapists within her network of Latinx mental health professionals and uses this to help connect people to therapists in their states. Currently, Latinx Therapy has expanded to be a trusted national, bilingual resource for the Latinx community, and this will continue to grow. On this episode we find out why exactly Adriana wanted to break all the barriers that might keep people from seeking help, here struggle though mental health and her projects to help the latinx community.
