Many students ask me how to interview with a real estate brokerage and which brokerage they should go to.  As an independent education provider, it is fair and reasonable for us to shift the responsibility to the principal broker or managing broker to answer these questions. We are planning this series to provide pre-license students with more information about their careers.

Today we are interviewing with the Living On Guam Realty.

Living On Guam Realty has been in the Guam real estate space for only 3 years but in that short period, they have established themselves as the GO-TO real estate office for folks relocating to Guam, particularly the military members and families. They rank #1 in their area of specialty even though they only have less than a handful of agents on their TEAM compared to other large brokerages.

According to Leah, Associate Broker and Vice President, this is because they are intentional about recruiting and finding the right talent and personality that would fit their office culture.  Leah says the relationship needs to be a win-win, where the agent and the office both benefit and grow from it.  Leah, who heads recruitment, says she is clear from the start what the expectations are (a hard lesson learned from failed past hires) and she tells agent-candidates about their company vision, core values, and procedures.

Living On Guam Realty management is open to feedback and constructive criticism so that their service continues to be better for the benefit of their clients and Team (as a whole). Management is a believer in continued self-improvement to survive and thrive.

Leah invites agent candidates to research online about Living On Guam Realty, as they are present in most platforms, to see if the office would be a good fit for the candidates and the candidates a good fit for the office.
