Butch and Sundance travel to South America to outrun the Pinkertons and they take Sundance’s girlfriend, Etta Place, with them. They live peacefully for a short time, but the Pinkertons find them and force them to go on the run again. Butch and Sundance resume robbing banks until they’re finally cornered in a tiny village in the mountains of Bolivia. The final showdown leaves history with more questions than answers.
