This episode features Steve Saunders who is in his sixth year as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Baltimore Ravens.  Saunders guides all sports science, speed, strength training, and recovery initiatives, working closely with the team's athletic training department. His focus includes player injury prevention, recovery, and energy system training in an effort to maximize performance.  Saunders founded Power Train Sports Institute in 1999, and prior to joining the Ravens, grew Power Train from a single unit to a 200-employee operation in 28 locations nationwide.   He is known for his work with long-time Steelers LB James Harrison, who was the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Saunders has trained hundreds of NFL, NHL, and MLB athletes. He is also a member of the Under Armour Training Council consisting of a handful of worldwide leaders in the field of Sports Performance Training. For over a decade, he directed one of the nation's top NFL Combine training programs, preparing first-round selections in football, baseball, and hockey. Above all else, he is a dedicated husband to Emily and the father of five kids!
