Ever heard the term “Don’t should on yourself.”? In this episode I talk about how I have made a conscious effort to stop “shoulding” on myself. Thanks to my amazing therapist helping me understand the psychology behind this, it has changed my internal dialogue, my doubt, my guilt and my regret too. By using the word should in your vocabulary it sends mixed messages to your brain. When you’re able to reframe your sentence structures to remove should from your vocabulary, you can have more confidence and more ease in making decisions. You can also eliminate the feeling of guilt from something that has already happened. In this episode I walk you through specific examples and give you a fun little challenge to try for 24 hours.
