When bringing in outside help, look for someone who understands the nuances of running a small entrepreneurial company as well as someone with the right expertise and skills.

There's no losing, there's winning or learning. But you can only learn if you acknowledge the issue. 
When you need to call things out to an employee, do it in a way that is sincere and kind and they will be more receptive.
It is better to take the time to hire the right fit for a position rather than hire someone to fill it.
