I didn't have to think hard at all about how I wanted to celebrate episode 100 of this podcast. If you've listened to other episodes you've heard me talk about my wife, Angie Kitko, and how we went from an abusive relationship to an absolutely powerful bond! In this episode Angie and I discuss the pain of our past relationship, and we also discuss the absolute magic of our commitment, connection, friendship, and the rebirth of our love affair. It's a privilege and honor to introduce Angie to world, and I can't think of any better way to celebrate this awesome milestone.

The traditional relationship is based on unhealthy expectations of each other, and is full of manipulation, self-centeredness, and codependency. Angie has labeled these types of relationships manipulationships, not relationships.To begin to heal our marriage, Angie and I had to go to our neutral corners, heal our own unhealed trauma and pain, and only then could we form something powerful - right out of a fairy tale. Our connection and bond now is based on trust, integrity, inspiring each other, and helping each other savor life in the perfect way for the individual.Each of our "perfect" ways look much different, so we must give up trying to get the other to be who we want them to be. We must engage our own dream, and then help the other engage their own dream.
