About Ernelita Dacumos: Ernelita also known as Ernie is an aspiring Motivational Speaker and Coach who thrive in the healthcare industry. She has dedicated her life in healthcare for a decade and still counting until she found her purpose. Though the Healthcare industry is where her heart is initially, as years go by, she has learned that there is more that she can do for others. She had clarity that she wanted to help people like her, expats to be exact who left their families back home to build a life in a different country.  As in her journey, moving to a foreign country was not easy. The inferiority complex was very apparent which causes some to play small and feel stuck in their journey. She had gone through this process and dedicated onto her personal development and now added the Maxwell Leadership program in order for her to reach the people she aims to influence and help internationally. Ernelita believed that everyone has a story that needs to be heard not to mock or compete from but to learn and influence. She is willing to share her journey for expats like her that they too can create their own journey, they too can reach their goal. And they don't have to play small to reach it. Expat or not, we are all the same, we have our own skills and capabilities to make an impact and help others.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Ernelita discuss:

‌Surrounding yourself with supporters‌Throwing yourself into opportunities ‌Recording and celebrating successes ‌How to face setbacks and failures

Key Takeaways:

‌Surround yourself with people that will push you and support you towards the goal that you’re scared to try and get.‌Summon a little bit of courage and a little bit of faith in yourself, use that to throw yourself into opportunity. Show up, trusting that when you do, you’ll know what to do and you got this. ‌Record and celebrate your successes. Reflect on how far you’ve come and keep it on top of your mind. It helps to remember these when somebody asks you what you’re proud of, you’ll have an answer. It will boost your confidence in that conversation. ‌Don’t give up when you face setbacks and “failures”. Learn from each one of these experiences and recognize how you can improve, see these setbacks as useful data for future improvement.
