Whenever you get a new message, you need to sort it out immediately - either do what you need to do now, save it in a folder for later, or delete it if it’s junk. Recognize that others may not have a system for productivity like you do. Help them out by doing little things like putting the due date in the email subject line and the action point that they need to do so that when they’re scanning their inbox, they can see the urgent tasks. In order to not waste your time in a meeting, it’s important that there’s clarity on who’s going to do what. Before the meeting ends, ask the question of what’s the next step so that there’s ownership and accountability for each one in the group.
