People in the church can be suspicious of the term ‘leadership’ because it sounds secular and modern. However, deep in Christian tradition, monastic wisdom has honed principles of leadership based on the teaching of the gospel for more than fifteen centuries. These principles are enshrined in the Rule written by St Benedict for monks and nuns in the 6th century. Fr Luigi Gioia will introduce these principles, applying them to the life of our communities today and looking at how they aid evangelisation.
