Cody Wilson has been charged with sexual assault in the state of Texas. Tonight, I will talk about how you build a defense to attempt to create reasonable doubt for this type of crime using the publicly released information and a little bit of speculation and hypothetical.
I'll be talking about the process of exam and cross-exam and building a narrative for a jury to follow. We'll dabble a bit in some of the rules of evidence, and talk about the information I would look for if I were building the case.
To be clear: This is not a principle-based or moral defense of the alleged actions of Cody Wilson. This is how you would construct a legal defense to raise reasonable doubt.
