LM1183 Lying Fox

LM, Episode 1183, 3/16/23, Lying Fox

My comedian friend, Stewart Huff, talks about the bear problem in Yellowstone.  A ranger said they don’t have a bear problem, they have a trash can problem because there is a significant overlap between the smartest bear and the dumbest human.

Anyone would be able to deduce that if they watched Yogi Bear.  He and Boo Boo were always outsmarting Ranger Smith.  Yogi has to get excited when he sees someone come to the park wearing a red, MAGA hat.  You know their picnic basket will be easy pickings.

Court documents revealed recently that the people working at that dumpster, Fox News, knew what the former president was saying about the election being stolen from him was a lie, but they kept airing stories about it.  Tucker says he passionately hates the former president, but was afraid the former president would destroy the network if they didn’t go along with him.  Even though he talked on the phone every night with the former president while he was in office, Hannity says he was, “disgusted,” by the former president’s actions, but kept lying to his viewers about the election because he was afraid to lose viewers.

The personalities, Hannity, Ingram, and Tucker were angry with the New division for broadcasting the truth about the election because their viewers didn’t want to hear the truth and Fox would lose those viewers.  Does that seem like the tail wagging the dog?

But you have to hand it to Fox.  They have brain washed, maybe brain it too strong of a word, they have conditioned their viewers to believe that every other new outlet in the world is lying and only Fox is being honest.  That way Fox can spoon feed their viewers whatever reality they want them to believe.

Mark Twain said, “The glory which is built upon a lie soon becomes a most unpleasant encumbrance.  How easy it is to make people believe a lie and how hard it is to undo that work again.”

My Granddad Rader used to say, “An honest man’s pillow is his peace of mind.”  I doubt the wealth and fame Hannity, Ingram, and Tucker have today will be worth the damage to their souls when one of their children or grandchildren ask them how they could knowingly lie to the world.

Take care and always remember laughter matters.
