LM1113 Coffee Pills

LM, Episode 1113, 1/3/23,

Our son-in-law, Justin, drove my Honda back to visit his parents for Christmas.  I am sure the excitement his mom felt having him home was dampened by having a car in the driveway with naked lady, mudflaps.  That joke is for you long time listeners.

I always get black interior on my car because, yes, it’s hot in the summer, but it doesn’t show all the coffee I spill while driving, plus the car always smells like a nice Sumatran blend.

Years ago I had a black, IROC Camaro with black interior.  I loved that car and held onto it even after we started having children.

We were visiting my mother-in-law for my wife, Twyla’s, birthday.  Twyla’s mom always made and decorated birthday cakes for the family.  When we left, she sent the remainder of the cake home with us.  We put it on the floor of the back seat.  Our son, Keith, was three and, during a stop on our trip home, he decided he could let himself out of his car seat.  He unbuckled the restraint, jumped right into the middle of the birthday cake, and tracked white icing all over the black, cloth interior of the back seat.

The car now smells like coffee with a hint of birthday cake.  We traded it the next week for a Mazda station wagon and my youth ended.

Have a great week and always remember laughter matters.
