I’m sorry for the reruns for the past week.  After doing shows in North Carolina the weekend before last, I woke up on Sunday with an aching tooth.  I drove eight hours home and went straight to bed.  

We hadn’t found a dentist since we moved to Cincinnati.  I think Twyla has been mourning because she can no longer see Dr. Prettyboy, DDS that yesterday’s Laughter Matters discussed.

Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment with a dentist close to our house and Dr. Laungani was great.  She extracted the tooth and I have done fine.  I spent Tuesday and Wednesday in bed.  By Thursday I was feeling normal again.  Good thing too because I left that day for shows in Alabama and Georgia this weekend.

The only glitch in the whole process was when they ask me the name of my former dentist.  I have called him Dr. Prettyboy, DDS for so long I couldn’t remember his name. Twyla was in school, but I knew who to call.  

My hairstylist in Kansas City and one of the List of my 37 Friends, Jamie, has a huge crush on Dr. Prettyboy.  I call her and she says, “His name is Jackson.”

As I start to thank you, she says, “Be quiet.  I’m dealing with a mental image right now.”

Thank you, Jamie, for making me laugh because you never forget how much laughter matters.
