LM1050 Alex Jones is Bankrupt

LM, episode 1050, LM,10/28/22, Alex Jones is Bankrupt

Anyone who doesn’t believe in evolution need look no further than Inforwars’ Alex Jones.  He has to be the missing link between apes and man.

Bless his heart, courts in Texas and Connecticut have passed judgment that Alex has to pay over $1 billion to families who lost children in the Sandy Hook school shooting because for ten years he has perpetuated the lie that Sandy Hook never happened.  He says it was staged so Democrats can take American’s guns away from them.

Recently Jones was not in the courtroom when the verdict was read.  Instead he live streamed it for his fans.  First of all, how does he have any fans left?  Jones testified that the Sandy Hook did happen, admitting he has been lying to his listeners for ten years.

Jones live streamed the verdict, calling it a joke.  He claims he is bankrupt, which I’ll address momentarily.  He solicited donations from his listeners, like it was pledge week for your local NPR station, and offered double patriot points for any merchandise purchased, what ever that means.  He assured those listening that none of their donations would go to the Sandy Hook families. I think Alex may want to ask OJ Simpson about that.

At one point he stated his current financial straits must be what hell is like.  Really, Alex?  I would somehow think hell would be having a child murdered, then, instead of being able to grieve, you spend ten years being harrassed by lunatics who have been told that you are lying about losing a child.  That seems far worse than any self-inflicted financial problems.

My second favorite MASH episode, behind when Klinger tells Winchester, “Olive skin makes good kin,” is whe Hawkeye gets Frank Burns drunk and puts a toe tag on him saying, “Emotionally exhausted and morally bankrupt.”  I believe Alex Jones is morally bankrupt.  I doubt that the Sandy Hook families care a hoot about the money.  I bet, if Jones would sincerely apologize and offer to help to rebuild their lives, he may find redemption.

Have a great weekend and always remember laughter matters.
