Ep. 2: The climate crisis in the Amazon

These days there has been a lot of news about forest fires around the world and the latest IPCC report that gives 'Code red' for human-driven global heating has once again set off the alarms about the climate emergency. The emergency however also reaches Latin America and one of the most important areas for the climate stability of the planet: the Amazon. For years, the authorities have neglected the protection of the Amazon and its defenders. Thousands of forest fires a year due to deforestation are caused by drug trafficking, illegal logging, and land trafficking.
