Sam Meech: My Goal is to Win a World Championship

Our guest today is Sam Meech who has won a bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics, was winner of the 2013 Youth Americas Cup, and 2009 Youth World Championships. Before he mastered the dinghy boat, he had already been cruising around the world with his family.

Alison Young is a British sailor who won the 2016 Laser Radial World Championships. She has also participated in the last two Olympics, with 5th in London and 8th in Rio. Ali will make her 3rd Olympic appearance next year in Tokyo after being selected by the British Sailing Team in October 2019.

Charlie grew up in Newport Beach, California, where the influence of his father and family throughout his childhood led to an affinity for water sports. He started sailing at the age of 8. Annalise Murphy from Ireland, who won the silver medal in Rio 2016 after a disappointing 4th in the London Games four years before that. She won the European Championships in 2013 and has sailed a flying moth, high performance boat 49er FX class, as well as the last Volvo Ocean Race with Turn the Tide to Plastic.
