Yesterday was the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. Though he lived in chaotic times, and suffered great personal misfortune, he rose above them, giving to us, today, an example of one whose creativity provides a challenge to us, as well as insights into the quality of mind and love for mankind required to successfully address the existential threats confronting us today. Take some time to listen to his compositions today.
